Targeted preparation for AP Precalculus and Calculus AB — exam-ready, but built on real understanding.
Book a free intro session →This class is for students taking AP Precalculus or AP Calculus AB who want more out of the course than just getting through the next homework set. It works for students who feel shaky and need steady support, and equally for students who want to turn the course into a real foundation for future STEM work.
The aims are to understand the core ideas in each unit well enough to use them in unfamiliar problems, handle multiple-choice and free-response questions with less stress, and reach an AP score that reflects what the student is actually capable of. We follow the school's textbook, notes, and pacing guide, and connect that with released AP questions and well-chosen practice from reliable sources.
Most lessons start from something concrete: a homework set, a recent quiz or test, or an AP-style question the student has tried. We identify what's actually causing difficulty — algebra, concept, setup, or exam-style wording — and then work through a few carefully chosen problems that target those points directly.
As the exam approaches, more lesson time goes to AP-style practice: multiple-choice for speed and pattern recognition, and free-response for complete, readable solutions. We pay attention to typical rubrics and the kinds of slips that regularly cost points, and keep a simple record of which question types still cause trouble so revision stays focused and realistic.
After each session, clear written solutions and short topic summaries are shared with the student — organised by topic, so there's always reliable material to return to before tests and the AP exam itself.
