About the Course

This class is for students who enjoy maths and want to do more with it than school sets in front of them. The goal is depth, not just speed — clear written solutions, careful thinking, and the kind of problem-solving habits that pay off through high school and beyond. When it makes sense, the course also supports early contest preparation, including AMC 8.

We use the AoPS curriculum as the primary backbone — typically Prealgebra into the Intro series — along with teacher-prepared explanations, GeoGebra visuals, and selected extension problems. The result is a structured course built around one of the strongest written curricula in the world, supported by personal teaching.

Depending on the student, we work through one or more of:

How This Course Works

Most lessons are spent working together on selected problems from the book, especially the Challenge Problems. We move quickly through routine exercises when the student can already handle them, and slow down on questions that need more creativity or careful explanation.

Between sessions, students work on targeted practice — through adaptive problem systems, structured topic-based exercises, or specific resources chosen for what each student needs. Steady progress between lessons is a reliable signal of real understanding, not just surface familiarity. As Prime Colors Math grows, our own Math Webb platform will become the primary practice tool here.

After each session, clear written solutions and short topic summaries are prepared and shared with the student, organised so they're easy to return to before tests or competitions.
